In 1905 the trading house "Borel" ordered in Saratov factory Bari engineer to build a tug of Volga Shipping. The ship was built for the most advanced at that time the project. The ship is driven by two paddle wheels with the outer contours, and rotary blades mounted on a single axis. They named the ship as a human being - "Vanya." Tug walked along the Volga and the Kama, led barge with wood flour, salt fish and other goods from Rybinsk to Astrakhan and back. It was not until the autumn of 1914. In 1918, the tug was given the serial number 5 and called the armed steamer. During the fighting near Kazan armed steamer was given a new name "Vanya-Communist," but he did not have it officially receive. 1st October 1918 during a reconnaissance raid in the village of Bor Drunk gunboat "Vanya-Communist" was fired artillery battery hidden enemy and caught fire, the surviving 48-man team of 76 took approached to help the destroyer "nimble." After the Civil War steamer raised, repaired, converted into a passenger and handed in Chardzhou, where he has long worked on the Amu Darya River under the name of "Komsomolets" until 1968, when the river was no longer navigable.
