Aconit is a one-of-a-kind frigate built for the French Navy during the Cold War. It was built for anti-submarine warfare in the 1960s. It was in service between 1973 and 1997. A significant drawback in the design was the lack of space for landing rotors. Because of this, the C65 program, under which it was planned to build five ships, was canceled.
