Cape Ai-Todor on the Aurora cliff, German oilman Baron Steinheil ordered to build on the site of an old wooden cottages, a stone castle, a draft of which was ordered by Russian architect A. Sherwood. It was built in 1912, and in 1914 sold Shalaputinu Moscow merchant, opened a restaurant. In Soviet times the building while working a tourist center, a library and then "Pearl" resort. In 1927, during the earthquake of the Aurora cliff collapsed in front of the observation platform hung over the precipice. The castle walls were cracked, sharp spiers, crowning it broke down in the sea. Building condition it was found in an emergency and access to it is closed. In 1968 works were carried out but the strengthening and partial reconstruction of the Swallow's Nest. After the reconstruction of the access to the Swallow's Nest was reopened.
