Yak-9 - Soviet single-engine fighter aircraft-bomber of the Great Patriotic War. He was the most massive Soviet fighter of the Great Patriotic War. It was produced from October 1942 to December 1948, a total of 16,769 airplanes were built.
The Yak-9T was successfully used to attack ground targets. Armor-piercing shells from a distance of 500 m at an angle of 45 degrees pierced the armor 30 mm thick. However, the strong recoil of the gun led to the fact that only the first few shells went towards the target. The report on the military tests of the aircraft noted: âthe pilot flying the Yak-9T must be a kind of sniper and be able to hit the enemyâs aircraft for sure - from the first shotâ. At the end of 1943 the aircraft was used to combat the enemyâs naval targets on the Black Sea. In the period from March 1943 to June 1945, 2,748 Yak-9T aircraft were built.
The kit includes:
- 7 frames with details
