MiG-21PFM (article 94) (1964). The disadvantage of PF / PFS modifications were no cannon armament (although at the time it was considered wrong and outdated). Therefore, a new modification was provided for the possibility of suspension of cannon container GP-9 with a 23-mm twin-barrel cannon GS-23L on a central pylon.
