"Alabama" was laid down on a ship in Norfolk on February 1, 1940. In the middle of July 1942 the ship was built and in early April 1943 began training courses during which the cover of the aircraft carrier "Ranger" was carried out. Since May 1943 the battleship was based on Scapa Flow, from which it went for the posting of polar convoys in the USSR. On August 1, 1943, Alabama went to Norfolk to fight later in the Pacific against the Japanese fleet. Japan signed the surrender and ended the Second World War, the battleship met on September 2 at the raid in Tokyo. After a couple of weeks he went home, then after a short service on January 9, 1947, he was already put into reserve. There he was listed until June 1, 1962, when he was expelled from the fleet lists. From the inevitable cutting into scrap metal, the ship was rescued by the public of Alabama, where it was erected as a monument in the Gulf of Mobile.
The model is replete with a lot of details, there is a two-sided printing, the level of complexity is quite high. We recommend it to experienced modelers.
