The D'Estre armored decker cruiser is a series of cruisers of the III class of the French fleet, built in the 1890s. XIX century. In total, 2 units were built: "D'Estre" (Fr.D'EstrÃ©es) and "Inferne" (Fr.Infernet). The cruisers were intended for service in the colonies. They became the last French cruisers of the third class.

The cruiser "D'Estre" was laid in March 1897 at the shipyard of the Navy in Rochefort, descended on October 27, 1897, in service since 1899. By the beginning of World War I served as a training ship for the Cadets. It was written off in 1922, was scrapped in 1924.
