A single Italian fighter of World War II - Reggian Re.2000 - was structurally analogous to the American fighter Seversky P-35. Serial production of the aircraft at a plant in Italy lasted from May 1940 to December 1941. Licensed production in Hungary ended in August 1944. A total of 382 aircraft were produced. Italian fighters began to take part in the fighting in September 1941, from the beginning of the war, Hungarian fighters served in the air defense regiment, and since the fall of 1941, they were used on the Eastern Front. The fighter was discontinued by the Italian Air Force in mid-1942, in Hungary, individual aircraft were used until 1945.
