The Church of St. George the Victorious in Yuskovichi is the third oldest surviving wooden building in Russia. And the oldest of the churches that have survived in their native place. The throne of the church was consecrated in 1493 in the name of the great martyr George or, as they say, Yegor the Brave. Built in the east of the Leningrad region, in the Podporozhsky district on the eastern shore of the large Yuksovsky lake. The church consists of three slender, with a soft felling, log cabins, along which steep, wedge-shaped roofs run up in steps. At the bottom, they are surrounded on three sides by a powerful squat log house, covered with a gentle gable roof. This composition is crowned with an elastic cupola, silvery with a ploughshare. In 1632, the temple was reconstructed and expanded. During the restoration work of 1971-1972, the porch of the church was recreated.
The model has the first level of complexity. It can be assembled by both experienced and novice modelers.
