The Church of the Transfiguration from the village of Spas-Vezhi was built in 1628 in the patrimony of the Moscow Chudov Monastery. In 1958 it was moved from the flooded area to Kostroma and installed in the courtyard of the Ipatiev Monastery. It was the largest cage temple that has survived to the 21st century. The temple burned down in September 2002, the main version - an abandoned cigarette butt and dry grass. The church, cut from pine logs, was a remarkable example of the Kletsk church with a unique pile foundation structure. The main composition of the church, set on 24 oak piles, consisted of a quadrangle, slightly elongated in the transverse direction, and lower cuts of a pentahedral apse and an almost square refectory. Currently, a decision has been made to recreate this unique monument of wooden architecture.
The model has the first level of complexity. It can be assembled by both experienced and novice modelers.
