A sailing 120-gun battleship was launched in 1838. He participated in the Battle of Sinop on November 18, 1853, firing 1,923 shots in four hours. The ship received 48 holes, as well as damage to the stern and all masts. On November 22, the ship came to Sevastopol, part of the way being towed by the wheel-drive steam-and-freon "Chersonese". In April 1854 was put at the entrance to the South Bay.
During the defense of Sevastopol on September 11, 1854, "Three Saints" was flooded at the entrance to the Sevastopol raid to block the entrance to the bay. In the bottom of the ship holes were cut through, but it sank very slowly, so the steamer-frigate "Gromonosets" made several shots below the waterline. According to one of the legends the ship did not manage to flood for a long time because of the forgotten icon on board. After the icon was taken from the ship, the "Three Saints" itself went to the bottom.
After the war, when the Sevastopol bay was cleared, the ship's hull was blown up.
The model has a deep detail level of "Shipyard". The level of complexity is high, in connection with which we recommend this model to experienced modelers - admirers of the sailing fleet.
