H-5 - American four-seat multi-purpose helicopter, upgrading the R-4, improved payload, increased reliability, speed and ceiling. S-51 - civilian modification of the helicopter. Built by "Sikorsky Aero Engineering Corporation". The H-5 / S-51 first took off on February 16, 1946. This helicopter was first equipped with an autopilot, which greatly facilitated the control. A total of 379 H-5 / S-51 helicopters were built. The machine is widely used in the armed forces of the United States and several other countries.
