After the war in the Soviet Union there was a question about the organization of long-distance bus. Therefore, in the late 40-ies. a group of Soviet experts to explore the experience of the American firm "Pacific Greyhound" - one of the major carriers on long-distance routes. But work on creating a new bus laid on the shoulders of Moscow Zisa (Plant named after Stalin, then -. ZiL - Plant named after Lenin.). The works were developed in 1951, and in early 1953 on the test went a couple of experimental samples zadnemotornyh ZIS-E127, each of which involves carriage of 41 passengers.
