The karakka, approaching the enemy, suddenly began to lurch and sank. On October 11, 1982, the skeleton of the Mary Rose hull was brought to the surface. Now things from the ship and the hull itself can be seen in the Mary Rose Museum built for this purpose, which is located in Portsmouth.
