The American training aircraft Stearman PT-17 was developed by the Stearman Aircraft Company and is one of the modifications of the PT-13 Kaydet aircraft. This variant received a new 220 hp Continental R-670-5 engine. from. During 1940, about 3,500 aircraft were built, which were successfully used in agriculture and as a training aircraft for military pilots.
