You donated through our website $2310
In total, our foundation was able to collect and spend $5700

I am very grateful to the people who help us on a regular basis every month.
Guys, I will not write your names here, but you should know that we are very grateful to you. We keep in touch with many of you.
The owner of Scalemates.com helping us every month too. Guys, who are using his web catalog, you should know that!

As you can see, in May we were able to raise not a lot of money and the purchase was much less than a month earlier.
But still, this did not stop us from buying a night vision device for my second cousin.
In addition, a lot of useful things were purchased. Wet wipes and mosquito spray are especially popular now.
It's hot in the fields now, the guys are washing with wet wipes.
And given that Ukraine is now preparing to attack and return to the occupied lands, many guys live in very uncomfortable conditions close to the front.

Russians destroyed a dam
As you probably already know, the russians, in fear of a possible Ukrainian offensive from the west, blew up a reservoir dam in the Kherson region in early June.
This is the largest man-made environmental disaster in Europe in decades.

At first, I did not realize the full extent of what had happened. After all, floods happen in all countries - water comes, and then leaves.
But this catastrophe is much more serious.

And the more I began to think about the consequences, the more horror began to seize me. Due to the water spill, huge populations of animals, fish, and birds are completely destroyed. Many of them are included in the IUCN Red List. Millions of tons of water flowed into the Black Sea - many populations died due to the desalination of seawater.

Just take a look. The scale of the tragedy is appalling.

In addition, irreparable damage has been done to agriculture.
The reservoir was used to irrigate a huge number of fields. This reservoir fed the entire Crimea with water.
Over the decades, a network of irrigation canals has been built, which are now empty.
The entire crop in the southern regions of Ukraine will die, which will cause a rise in food prices around the world since Ukraine is one of the largest grain producers in the world.

This is in addition to obvious problems such as flooding of cities, loss of life, and loss of property. Unfortunately, the whole world has become accustomed to such troubles. And it's terrible. The old people who could not leave their homes simply drowned.

People were stuck in their houses, because no one expected that the russians would blow up the dam upstream at night, and in the morning people would wake up from the fact that they were rapidly going under water.

The left bank of the river, which is under the control of the invaders, suffered the most.
And Ukrainians cannot help these stuck people. But sometimes amazing things happen.

Just take a look at this boy. He was stuck in his house's attic.

On the one hand, it looks sad, but on the other hand, it is very inspiring.
So many people have a chance to be saved. And those who are stuck in the houses have to wait until the water starts to subside.

The dam explosion is another proof - that the russians are killers.
The russians are ready to do anything to destroy and conquer Ukrainians.
And they are afraid. They are afraid of the Ukrainian offensive.

Your countries helped us a lot with weapons - tanks, howitzers, artillery, and training of soldiers.
BIG THANKS to YOU for such massive support!
Now we must show what we are capable of.
The offensive is already underway. We are probing the defenses that the Russians have built up over a long period of trench warfare.
Now we need to gnaw through it, at the cost of blood, and military equipment.

It is unfortunate that we will not be able to adequately cover our troops from the air.
We will be more vulnerable on the ground.
But we have no other option. We must go and liberate our cities and our people. They are waiting!

My second cousin is now in the Zaporizhzhia direction. He doesn't say much and rightly so.
I worry about him, I write him a message every 3-4 days.
I ask if everything is in ok with you? - he briefly answers - everything is ok. And I breathe out.

The hearts of all Ukrainians froze. We are waiting and hoping for success.
And we totally believe in him!

Once I heard a very clever phrase:
First, you must defeat the enemy in your head and make him think that he lost.
If he is sure that he is losing - half the work is already done!

Thank you guys, see you next month.

Slava Ukraini!

What did we do in May 2023?
1. Bought thermal detector HikMicro Panther PH50L LRF for my second cousin for a US$3.400
2. Bought Radio station Motorola DM4601e
3. Bought 2 binoculars, repellents, hygiene products, medications

What are we planning to do in June 2023?
1. The father-in-law collects on a drone for a neighbor. Together they were under occupation at the beginning of the war. I told you this story last year. And now, a year later, a family friend went to the front. His unit needs a drone, part of the amount they have already collected in the village. I promised to add the missing amount.
2. Currently we have a lot of requests but all will depend on sum we will be able to collect
