The frigate "Eagle" is the first Russian sailing ship of the Western European type, it is a kind of Dutch pinas. Built by order of Alexei Mikhailovich in the village of Dedinovo, Kolomensky district. Intended to guard Russian merchant ships in the Caspian Sea. In April 1669, the ship was named the Eagle. The construction of the Eagle was the beginning of the creation of the state's regular military fleet.
