In September 1921 the professor Ya.M. Gakkel presented a draft diesel locomotive with a Vickers engine with a capacity of 1000 hp. November 7, 1924 diesel locomotive, designated Yue-002, made its first trip to the station Obukhovo and back. Subsequently, the locomotive Yue-002 was given the name Ge-1 (the Gakkel system, with the ectectric transmission), then the SH-EL-1, and later the Shchel-1; the letter SH meant that this locomotive in power is equal to the locomotive of the series SCH, and the letters EL indicated the presence of an electric transmission. From 1925 to 1927 the locomotive was operated on the Moscow-Kursk railway and in the Caucasus. Later, due to frequent repairs, it was removed from the train work and from 1934 it was used as a power plant.

From one magazine it is possible to glue two locomotives at once. The model has the first level of complexity, so it will be able to collect even novice modelers.
