World is going crazy

So much has happened last month that I don’t even know where to begin.
Honestly, I have too many thoughts, and I’d rather not write too much because once I start, I probably won’t be able to stop.

In short:
The world is going crazy.

When instead of the whole world calming down one armed madman like Putler, everyone else also starts picking up weapons, essentially legitimizing the crimes of the first one, the world begins sliding faster and faster toward a major war.

I’ll share a few thoughts about recent events.

  • When you tell protesters that help is on the way, but in the end no help comes and the protesters are simply crushed, next time nobody will respond to your call.
  • When you shoot down cheap Shahed kamikaze-drones that cost about $20,000 using air-defense missiles or air-to-air missiles worth a million dollars, you are losing economically and learning nothing from it.
  • When you say that Zelensky has no cards, but later ask for help dealing with Shahed drones, it seems your own deck might not be complete either.
  • When Gulf countries start asking Ukraine for help because the United States couldn’t provide them with protection, you don’t exactly look like you're dealing cards.
  • When you can bombard Iran with missiles but haven’t thought about what comes next, you risk getting stuck there for years.
  • When you say you don’t start wars but end them, it’s hard to understand why your words don’t match your actions.
  • When you claim you want the Nobel Peace Prize, then why walk around the world with weapons and threatening multiple countries?
  • And when you say you don’t have spare Patriot missiles to sell to Ukraine—even for money—but you burn through 800 of those missiles in just the first three days of the war, while Ukrainians stand defenseless against Russian ballistic missiles, to us that looks like the height of foolishness.

Let me explain what I mean by the last point.

  • Iran launched only about 1,000–1,500 Shahed-type drones in two weeks.
  • Terrorussia launches around 4,000 of these drones every month against Ukraine.

Now imagine what would happen if you had to shoot down that many Shaheds coming from Iran every single month.

Would you have enough missiles?

Numbers don't lie

Unfortunately, today, important positions are given not to the smartest professionals, but to the most loyal ones.
Not surprising—after all, in this theater only one actor is supposed to shine.

A smart manager would have anticipated this obvious problem and prevented it.
Ukrainians would gladly help deal with the small targets, while you could help us deal with russian ballistic missiles.

Now just the costs:

  • Shahed-type drone — $30,000
  • AIM-9 / AMRAAM missile — $400,000
  • Patriot missile — $3,000,000
  • Ukrainian interceptor drone — $2,000–3,000

(I’m not including APKWS missiles, which cost about $40,000, because they require laser designation and have limited range and other conditions.)

That’s exactly why now, when things have gotten serious and drones are hitting airports and major landmarks, countries in the Persian Gulf—and others—have started asking Ukraine for help.

Because you need a proven, low-cost solution for mass attacks with inexpensive Iranian-russian kamikaze drones.
You simply don't have enough missiles or the money to shoot down thousands of these cheap, explosive-laden sky scooters.

Turns out Ukraine actually does have cards after all

Stop this war as soon as possible

In Ukraine, we have been living in war for four years already.
Putler started his “special military operation” with many of the same talking points we are now hearing from Trump.
It feels like déjà vu.
The russians also planned to deal with Ukraine in 2–3 days, but instead they got stuck so deeply that this war could eventually lead to the collapse of Russia itself.

  • I’m not an expert on the Middle East.
  • I'm against the regime in Iran.
  • I’m not a politician or a political scientist.

I’m just an ordinary Ukrainian whose life stopped being predictable.

  • We stopped making long-term plans a long time ago.
  • We don't plan vacations because we have nowhere to go.
  • We dream of getting a good night's sleep
  • We know life can end at any moment.
  • We forgot what real peace feels like.
  • We know that we can't trust anyone

For a Ukrainian, a good day is when it’s warm, there is electricity, and the air-raid sirens stay silent. For others, that’s just a normal day.

And as a Ukrainian, I can tell you this:
A ground war must not be allowed to happen.

So, finish the conflict with Iran asap, finally finish with Putler instead of appeasing him, and the world will become a much safer place.

And we will keep working and enjoying the arrival of spring.

Stand with Ukrainians!
Thank you for staying on the bright side!
