The Parasol Nemeth, the first perfectly round wing aircraft to have flown for quite some time (also known as the Umbrellaplane and Roundwing), was built in 1934. This aircraft was a traditional strut-braced monoplane (the wing was strutted above the fuselage, similar to traditional biplanes), except for the shape of the wing.
