In 1912, the Annular monoplane No.1 aircraft, designed by T. Richards and C. Lee, took off. It had a monoplane wing, a powerful engine, a three-wheeled chassis with a nose wheel. There were no ailerons, their functions were performed by surfaces on the trailing edge of the wing, which also served as elevators. The first flight took place on November 23, 1913.
