The model has excellent elaboration, and also the parts are designed to be assembled by experienced modelers.

At the end of 1939, the production of the BT-7M tank began, which was a modified product of the BT-7, from which it barely externally differed. The armament is also the same as before. Due to the installation of braces, the rigidity of the tank's hull increased, and the frontal booking had to be strengthened. The size of the air filter was reduced, and in the bottom there was a sub-engine hatch. The V-2 diesel engine consumed much less fuel than the aircraft engine previously used on the BT-7. Such efficiency of the engine made it possible to abandon the need for additional fuel tanks.

Production of the BT-7M continued until 1940. A total of 788 of these tanks were produced, including modified versions equipped with radio stations.
