The V3000S has a 95 hp V8 petrol engine. began production in Cologne at the Ford plant in 1941. Production continued until the end of World War II, the total number of cars produced amounted to more than 25,000 copies. This truck was used by the German ground forces, air units, and navy. The car had only rear-wheel drive, so it had insufficient cross-country ability off-road. To solve this problem, about 14 thousand of these trucks were produced in the Maultier half-track version, they were designated V3000S/SSM. Along with the tracks, brake levers were also installed on the Maultier, thanks to which the truck could turn on the spot like a tank. Beginning in 1943, simplified cabs (Einheitsfahrerhaus) began to be installed on Wehrmacht trucks, this was done in order to simplify and reduce the cost of production. Such cabins, in turn, were equipped with the V3000S/SSM Maultier half-tracks.
