Based on mahogany and walnut cased film cameras of the period this piece is sculpted for Aviattic by Doug Craner.Beautifully made with brass fittings, similar cameras were used by all sides but very little footage from the period remains.We were inspired by Anthony Fokker's enthusiastic documentation of pilots, friends and life both at factory and warfront. His early passion for photography has left us a rare glimpse of the 14-18 air war. So many records were destroyed that the survival of hours of his movie film and box camera photographs is a miracle.
