A high-quality semi-gloss medium gray acrylic or enamel paint for scale models and historical miniatures.
RLM 42 Gray Color Guide:
RLM 42 Grau was introduced in 1936 with the first edition of the Luftwaffe Directive L.Dv. 521.
RLM 42 Grau was developed as an interior paint for Luftwaffe aircraft. The finish in this color was used as acid-proofing around battery storage areas of aircraft.
RLM 42 Gray was also used for marking engine systems of German aircraft in the mid-1930s.
RLM 42 Grau, together with RLM 41, which also bore the designation "Grau", did not last long and was discontinued in 1938 with the second edition of L.Dv. 521.
