The BM-8-24 is a Soviet caliber light salvo system, lightweight. Fighting vehicles BM-8-24 mass-produced on the chassis of light tanks of types T-40 and T-60 after dismantling the turret and installing the launcher - M-8-24 - a package of guides with launch equipment for 24 82-mm unguided rockets (called in 1930s - 1940s missiles) M-8. Installation received factory index KS-77.

After the T-60 tank was discontinued, the release of the SAU BM-8-24 on the basis of light tanks was also discontinued, and the artillery part of the M-8-24 was mounted on GAZ-MM and GAZ-AA / AAA trucks.
