"Brocade" (a type of butterfly fish) - (Eng. USS "Parche" (SSN-683), a submarine of the second generation of the Stojen project, characterized by a "long" hull. "Brocade" is the second submarine in the Navy USA with that name.

Ordered by the US Navy on June 25, 1968, it was laid down on December 10, 1970 and launched on January 13, 1973. Built by Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula (Mississippi).

It has one S5W nuclear reactor, two steam turbines with a capacity of 15,000 hp, one propeller.
