According to the decree of the USSR State Defense Committee, the production of tractors based on the T-34 tank was to be deployed at tank repair plants in April 1944 in the amount of 50 units per month. For the production of tractors, it was required to use the T-34 tanks coming in for overhaul with towers and weapons unsuitable for restoration. Tractors based on the T-34 tank should be assembled, equipped and equipped according to the drawings of the T-34 tank approved by the KBTU KA, without a turret and weapons (except for the machine gunner-radio operator).
